Matthew McKenna PA-C

Physician Assistant – Joint Preservation Clinic

Matthew (Matt) McKenna is a board-certified physician assistant with specialized expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine, with emphasis on knee and shoulder health. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Master of Medical Science from Midwestern University.

Matt’s clinical passion lies in non-surgical joint preservation and conservative treatment strategies that help patients avoid unnecessary procedures while optimizing joint function. He collaborates with our team to implement comprehensive care plans that may include orthobiologic therapies (such as PRP and bone marrow-based treatments), tailored rehabilitation, photobiomodulation (laser) therapy, bracing and activity modification.

Known for his thoughtful approach and clear communication, Matt works closely with patients to identify root causes of joint pain, guide recovery, and support long-term joint health — always centered around the patient’s goals and lifestyle.
