Anna Vana, DNP, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner – Joint Preservation Clinic

Anna joined the team in 2021 and is dedicated to helping patients recover from sports and musculoskeletal injuries through joint-preserving treatments. With prior experience in the trauma ICU at Loyola Medicine and the surgical ICU at Rush University Medical Center, Anna brings a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of complex orthopedic conditions. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University in 2018 and is ANCC board certified.

At the Joint Preservation Clinic, Anna focuses on treating injuries and degenerative conditions of the knee, shoulder, and other major joints, with an emphasis on avoiding surgery whenever possible. She works closely with patients to define clear treatment goals, restore function, and create personalized plans that may include orthobiologic therapies, regenerative injections, rehabilitation strategies, and other conservative treatments. She performs in-office, ultrasound-guided joint injections and other non-operative procedures designed to reduce pain and support the body’s natural healing processes.

As a former collegiate athlete, Anna understands firsthand the physical and emotional challenges of injury. She is passionate about helping patients of all activity levels return to the sports, work, and lifestyles they enjoy — with stronger, healthier joints and long-term function in mind.

Outside of the clinic, Anna enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
